Sohag Bhattacharjee,Kolkata,May 14 : Many ethical and diverse initiatives has been taken by Kolkata police to fight against the pandemic outbreak. Today on May 14 a programme was organized by Vidya Sagar Setu Traffic Guard. Milk and biscuit packets were distributed among the slum children of Doi Ghat, Munshingunge and Panbazar area.
The programme was organized at Doi ghat, Hastings, GR road. Officer in Charge S.M Monirul Islam, Addl.OC, Inspector Saibal Paul, Sergeant Priyanjan Mazumder, Sergeant Samarjit Singh were the organizers of the initiative under the proper direction of high authority of the KP administration.
Today 250 children have recieved the packets.The children of slum areas are more troubled during this lockdown period. This programme helped them to be positive and fight against Covid-19.
During this whole lockdown period,Kolkata Police going on organizing so many such programmes throughout Kolkata. Ration articles like rice, pulses, oil, potato, onion, salt, masala etc and cooked foods are being distributed among the disabled,rickshaw pullers and other poor section of people in the different different part of kolkata.
Thus Kolkata Police has stretched out to the poor by not only providing them safety but also essentials during this lockdown period. Their hard work is incredibly commendable.
